In the first "I'm all Alone in the World" sequence, this ingenuity is demonstrated by the imaginative way the globe and the blown away, swirled away leaves were used to highlight young Ebenezer's loneliness. It was pure genius the way the lyrics and animation were merged together.

I’m sure you’ve noticed the moth flying out of Scrooge's money bag, near the end of the film? I bet Charles Dickens would appreciate such imagination.Dalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13900470936696536392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2202740811135382485.post-79934146874609341092010-12-14T23:27:27.770-08:002010-12-14T23:27:27.770-08:00It doesn't appear at the end but his credit is...It doesn't appear at the end but his credit is prominently featured in the opening titles.Darrellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02872914483836891531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2202740811135382485.post-1183767287194001182010-12-14T23:23:22.471-08:002010-12-14T23:23:22.471-08:00After watching Christmas Carol this evening, I not...After watching Christmas Carol this evening, I noticed that the name Jim Backus does not appear anywhere in the credits to the best of my knowledge.Dalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13900470936696536392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2202740811135382485.post-50121823571264564972010-09-27T04:22:57.886-07:002010-09-27T04:22:57.886-07:00The blog is a great way to share info, etc. about ...The blog is a great way to share info, etc. about the Magoo special and the various people who were a part of it. I fondly remember watching the debut broadcast of this Christmas classic as a second grader. Sadly, as the years passed by it seemed to be forgotten and rarely could one find it on commercial television. Watching it through adult eyes I still find it most enchanting and the work most ingenious.

DaleDalehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13900470936696536392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2202740811135382485.post-29169301738727176322010-08-18T17:11:53.066-07:002010-08-18T17:11:53.066-07:00Hope the blog morphs into the second greatest Mag0...Hope the blog morphs into the second greatest Mag0o experience in a long time .....The first being your book !
