Here's wishing all of you a very Merry Christmas! And as Tiny Tim said, "God Bless Us Everyone!" I hope you've enjoyed reading the blog postings as much as I've enjoyed bringing them to you.May you also have a safe and Happy New Year!
Thanks for the great research and supplemental material regarding this production and the demise of UPA. May your reprinting sell well and prosperity to anything your hand may touch.
Wow...great website...just stumbled on it. I was just about to order a dvd of MMCC as I haven't seen it on tv in several years. Then I realized it will soon be 50 years old. Do you think they will put out a special edition in 2012 for the 5Oth anniversary? I seem to have a habit of buying cds/dvds right before they release a special edition so I could hold off a bit if that is the case. Many thanks~
Well, this time your timing was off! Classic Media has just released a newly remastered edition of the DVD with bonus features-there's a list of what to expect on a previous posting in the October archives for this blog. Also, the songs have also been released for the first time ever but are only available as a download. I'm not aware of any plans by Classic Media to mark the special's 50th anniversary.
There will be a brief hiatus due to my personal and professional commitments. Doing a blog like this requires a lot of behind the scenes wrangling and not everything lined up the way I hoped it would. It will take some time to generate any new meaningful material.
Hi. Me and some friends watched Magoo Christmas Carol for the first time in decades. We had a marathon of classic Christmas tv specials a week before Christmas. Also, I got your book for Christmas from my mom. Really enjoyed it. thanks!
I now own the VHS tape, the laserdisc , the dvd and now the blu-ray, I cant remember any title that I've bought so many times! That's how much I love it, lets's not forget Darell's book , signed. and my Limited Edition Cel!

Darrell,
Thanks for a wonderful book and blog about my favorite Christmas special.
Happy Holidays, and enjoy your Razzleberry Dressing!
I've really enjoyed reading your posts and learning more about a studio that was never quite on my radar. I found them absolutely fascinating!
I hope, just because Xmas is over, that the blog posts aren't going to stop, are they???
